Kristen Bole

As executive director of Public Affairs, Kristen Bole leads the public relations team for the UCSF enterprise, including the UCSF biomedical research campus, professional and graduate schools, and UCSF Health. An award-winning business reporter and editor, Kristen joined UCSF in 2007 after nearly 20 years of experience in business journalism, executive recruiting and public relations in health and science.

Jeffrey Norris

Jeffrey Norris, senior public information representative, covered a variety of topics for UCSF that range from basic research to complex bioscience. Prior to that, he worked as the web content manager for UCSF and for the National Science Foundation, where he handled communications with media for the policymaking National Science Board and for all major research directorates, and organized media trips to Antarctica and Greenland to advance coverage of climate change and other research.

Lisa Cisneros

Lisa Cisneros, executive director of Internal Communications in the Office of Communications, leads a network of communicators across UCSF, provides communications counsel to senior leadership, and develops and implements communications plans for major projects and initiatives at UC San Francisco.

Elizabeth Fernandez

Elizabeth Fernandez, senior public information representative at UCSF, covers the clinical cancer program, women’s health, tobacco, emergency medicine, radiology, urology, and dermatology. Previously, she was a journalist for more than two decades, covering investigative stories, health, social justice, law enforcement and education at newspapers around California. Elizabeth holds degrees from Santa Clara University (BA, English) and Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism (MS, Science).
