Event Celebrates the Life of Former Chancellor Philip R. Lee

Friends, family members and former colleagues, including former President Bill Clinton, celebrated the life of former UC San Francisco Chancellor Phillip R. Lee, MD, in a virtual event.

Lee, professor emeritus of Social Medicine, was a fierce advocate for racial equity and health care reform and an inspiring leader and life-long mentor. The hour-long event highlighted his service UCSF and to the nation, where he served under two presidents.

The virtual event first was streamed on Feb. 25.
