What It’s Like for UCSF Students Graduating Onto the Frontlines During COVID-19

Among the essential workers during the COVID-19 pandemic are the health care workers caring for patients and the scientists racing to understand and treat the novel coronavirus.

The newest members of these fields are recent graduates, including those from UC San Francisco’s schools of Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and the Graduate Division.

We spoke to several of our graduating students to hear their reflections, concerns and mixed feelings about starting careers in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
