Jack Resneck Named Chair-Elect of American Medical Association Board
Jack Resneck Jr., MD, a UC San Francisco dermatologist, has been named chair-elect of the 2017-2018 American Medical Association (AMA) Board of Trustees.
Resneck’s selection for the Board position was announced by the AMA on June 14 during the Annual Meeting of the AMA House of Delegates.
The AMA is the premier national organization providing timely, essential resources that empower physicians, residents and medical students to succeed at every phase of their medical lives.
Resneck is professor and vice-chair of the UCSF Department of Dermatology. He holds a joint appointment as a core faculty member at the Philip R. Lee Institute for Health Policy Studies, and also directs UCSF’s dermatology faculty practice.
Passionate about advocacy for physicians and patients, Resneck has held several leadership positions in organized medicine, including serving as director of the Board of the American Academy of Dermatology. He also was elected to the AMA Board of Trustees in 2014.
Members of the AMA Board of Trustees are elected each year by physicians and medical students representing more than 190 state and specialty medical societies.
