Bonz Otsuki: Supporting Staff Keeps UCSF Moving Forward

When Bonz Otsuki first started working at UCSF, she didn’t know what she was getting herself into. Now in her 20th year at UCSF, she states, I can’t imagine working anywhere else!

Back in 1995, Bonz began her career in Campus Life Services selling discounted tickets for events and activities throughout the SF Bay Area to the UCSF community. With connections throughout the UCSF campuses, she was an invaluable resource to the team when she moved to University Relations / Community and Government Relations seven years ago.

She finds it a truly amazing experience, interacting with “talented medical professionals, doctors, staff, students and faculty who come to work day in and out with a passion for what they do.” As part of the support staff, Bonz makes sure everything runs smoothly, efficiently, and seamlessly to keep UCSF moving forward.

As she puts it, “I like to think in my small way, I’m doing my part to help support the university’s mission of advancing health worldwide.

We are driven by the idea that when the best research, the best education and the best patient care converge, great breakthroughs are achieved. We pursue this excellence through our people. We are all UCSF, united by a driving passion to solve the most challenging health issues of our time and to redefine what's possible. Join the conversation at www.ucsf.edu/oneUCSF.
