Speech to Include Major Announcement from Health-Sciences University

WHAT: UC San Francisco Chancellor Susan Desmond-Hellmann, MD, MPH, will deliver her annual State of the University Address on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013.

In this year’s address, Desmond-Hellmann will announce significant news for the graduate-level, health-sciences University and will recognize the highlights and achievements of the last year in patient care, education, research and administration. She also will comment on challenges and opportunities UCSF faces in the upcoming years in each of those arenas, as well as plans to both maintain the University’s leadership role in these fields and to help propel the health sciences into new realms.

Members of the media are invited to hear the chancellor speak at Cole Hall Auditorium on the Parnassus campus. Her remarks will be streamed live on the web.
