UCSF Collaborative Resource Allocation Program Offers Second Round of Grants

The newly established Resource Allocation Program (RAP), a major campuswide grant program at UCSF for basic and clinical scientists, has launched its second funding cycle. The first cycle is almost complete and UCSF will announce funding decisions soon. The deadline to submit an electronic application for this second cycle is Monday, April 14. A notice of intent statement is not required. RAP, catalyzed by the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI), brings together many different intramural funding programs, including:
  • The Strategic Opportunities Support Center of the CTSI
  • The Research Evaluation and Allocation Committee of the UCSF School of Medicine
  • The UCSF-Gladstone Institute of Virology & Immunology Center for AIDS Research
  • The AIDS Research Institute
  • The National Center of Excellence in Women's Health and
  • The Clinical Investigator Research Program of the Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Under RAP, these programs now have a single application and review process. The Mount Zion Health Fund contributed funds for these grants. For specific information, and to learn about the many funding opportunities that are now available for pilot studies, translational technologies and novel methods, planning grants, and career development, please go to the RAP website.
