Betty Guy, who has traveled the world painting watercolors, will exhibit her work from September through December 2007 at the UCSF Faculty/Alumni House.
An opening reception for the artist is scheduled for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 10 in the Faculty/Alumni House, 745 Parnassus Ave. The house is open weekdays by appointment; call 476-4723.
Guy, who last showcased her works at UCSF in 2005, is known for her international cityscape and landscape watercolors with pen and ink as well as her sketches. The exhibit at UCSF includes a variety of works from her trips to France, China and Kenya, to name a few.
"Watercolor has to happen almost magically," she once said. "Watercolor is its own master - you go along with it."

Upon graduating from Lowell High School, Guy earned a bachelor of arts degree from San Francisco State University and entered UC Berkeley for graduate work. She also attended the Alliance Francaise. She staged her first exhibit in San Francisco's Palace of the Legion of Honor in 1961.
