William T. Grant Foundation Appoints UCSF's Rosenblatt as Distinguished Fellow

Abram Rosenblatt

The William T. Grant Foundation has announced the appointment of Abram Rosenblatt, PhD, among its third group of Distinguished Fellows. The Foundation created the Distinguished Fellows program to increase the supply of, demand for, and use of high-quality research in the service of improved youth development and well-being. This program gives researchers the opportunity to immerse themselves in practice or policy settings and allows influential mid-career practitioners and policymakers to work and be mentored in research settings. Rosenblatt, adjunct professor and associate director of the Clinical Services Research Training Program in the UCSF Department of Psychiatry, will work as a program manager at the Santa Cruz County's Probation and Substance Abuse Departments to give him a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by line staff. Rosenblatt also will collaborate with staff at the New California Network on information and research strategies that will help policymakers better understand how policy affects youth.
