Marissa Ventura is director of internal communications in the Office of Communications at UC San Francisco. In this role, she contributes to UCSF’s overall communications portfolio, producing creative, compelling and collaborative content that engages, informs and inspires the UCSF community. Marissa has experience in both corporate communications and health care journalism in a career that has spanned the academic, pharmaceutical and biotech industries. She holds a BA from Barnard College and an MS from The Graduate School of Journalism – both at Columbia University, in New York, New York.
