Laura Kurtzman leads communications about basic, translational and population health research, as well as education at UCSF.
She was a reporter for many years at the San Jose Mercury News, as well as the Associated Press and the Los Angeles Times. A graduate of Williams College, she holds a masters degree in journalism from Columbia University.
